Jay Cooke State Park, near Carlton, Minnesota on the St. Louis River, is home to a few waterfalls and and some beautiful cascades. The Park Headquarters building was originally built by workers in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) camps, as was one of the park's most popular attractions, the "Swinging Bridge." The area is a beautiful place for a casual stroll, or a little more rigorous hiking on its trails.
