Sturgeon Bay Lay-Ups (Trip #4)

24 Photos of ships in Winter Lay-Up at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, WI from a trip over there on March 21, 2010. Since I was last over there on Feb. 10, the Joseph L. Block, Herbert C. Jackson, Arthur M. Anderson and Edwin H. Gott have departed, heading back to work early this year! The CSL Laurentien and Wilfred Sykes have gotten new coats of paint; and the Mesabi Miner, which is currently in the large graving dock, is also getting a fresh coat of paint. The Paul R. Tregurtha, which has been in the yard since late last fall to have its engines replaced, was showing smoke coming from one of its two stacks. The American Spirit appears to be about ready to soon depart, as it is ballasted down.
