Sturgeon Bay (Trip #7)

28 photos of the 8 ships that are laid-up at Bay Shipbuilding, a new-build tanker barge under construction, Coast Guard vessels, the Selvick Tug base and the Museum tug, John Purves. Another 1000-footer, American Integrity, has joined the lay-up fleet since I was last over there in June; that makes three 1000-footers now laid-up at Bay Shipbuilding (the 1000-ft.-long Stewart J. Cort has been laid-up all year in Milwaukee, WI). All of the ships in lay-up would be out working in a normal year (except the John Sherwin, which was brought to Bay Shipbuilding for rebuilding into a self-unloader just before everything came crashing down last October).
