A group of late season (Oct. 8) swimmers admire the Paul R. Tregurtha (the largest ship on the Great Lakes) at Sherman Park in the Upper St. Marys River.
Finally! A Soo Trip in October with some fall colors! The weather was perfect for those 4 days; there was not a cloud in the sky and the temperatures were in the mid-60s to low 70s each day. Oh, yes, there were even a few ships around :O). I made another trip to the top of the Tower of History for some overhead photos of the Atlantic Huron and Mesabi Miner.
On the way home, I took a detour through Brimley, MI and stopped to see the (restored) Point Iroquois Lighthouse and took some photos along the south shore of Lake Superior where the colors were at their peak! So, at the bottom of the ship photos is a group of photos of the lighthouse and the fall colors. Hope you enjoy the photo tour. |
