Pere Marquette 41/Undaunted Arrives in Menominee.

Around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, the tug and barge arrived at Marinette Fuel & Dock with a load of pig iron. This was the third load of pig iron this vessel has delivered to Marinette Fuel & Dock already this year. Three other pig iron loads have been delivered by Desgagnes' vessels. Around 5 p.m., the vessel gave a security call that they would be turning around in the harbor and heading out of port. At 5:15, the vessel began its turn and in less than 10 minutes (no doubt aided by a stiff wind blowing right down the Menominee River) they were turned around and heading down the Menominee River. Once past the lighthouse, they turned and headed south down the bay of Green Bay.
