21 Photos of ships in for repairs, or still in winter lay-up in Sturgeon Bay, WI from a trip over there on April 18, 2010. The main reason for my trip today was to photograph the newly arrived, damaged Saginaw. As the Saginaw was unloading in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada last Friday, the unloading boom failed and crashed to the deck of the ship. The boom is mangled pretty badly. The first 8 photos are of the other vessels at Bay Ship. The ninth photo is a stock photo (from a previous year) of what the Saginaw is supposed to look like. Beginning with the tenth photo, you can see the damage done to the unloading boom from many different angles.
