Sturgeon Bay Lay-Ups (Trip #5)

23 Photos of ships still in Winter Lay-Up at Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, WI from a trip over there on April 9, 2009. Since I was last over there on March 27, the Wilfred Sykes, Mesabi Miner and Paul R. Tregurtha have departed lay-up. Other changes include the St. Mary's Challenger, after spending two weeks in the graving dock for its 5-year "survey", has been moved alongside the American Century; the Arthur M. Anderson has been moored alongside fleetmate, Philip R. Clarke; Sam Laud has been rafted to the outside of the (barge) Pathfinder, which now has its tug, Dorothy Ann, in its "notch"; and the Cason J. Callaway had smoke coming from its stack as it prepared to depart.
