James L. Kuber/Victory Departs Winter Lay-up On April 12 Making Its New "Maiden Voyage" For Lower Lakes Transportation

Just as its fleetmates, Lewis J. Kuber/Olive L. Moore, departed on their new "Maiden Voyage" under new owners just one week ago today; so the James L. Kuber/Victory departed its winter lay-up dock early in the evening on Tuesday. The tug, Victory, arrived mid-morning coming down from Escanaba where it had spent almost a month undergoing unspecified repairs. However, unlike the tug, Olive L. Moore, last week, the tug, Victory, did not have its stacks repainted in Lower Lakes colors; all that appeared to be done was to paint out the stylized "KK" which had adorned the stacks of the tug for the past 3+ years.

Lower Lakes Transportation purchased the two tugs and two barges from KK Integrated Shipping just two months ago.
