Pere Marquette 41/Undaunted And Maineborg At KK Integrated Logistics On April 21

The tug and barge, Pere Marquette 41/Undaunted arrived at KK Integrated Logistics just before midnight on April 20. The duo came to pick up a load of rock, the same rock that was shipped beginning late last year for a Chicago marina project. Loading continued throughout the night and concluded around 1:30 p.m. on April 21. In the meantime, the Maineborg arrived at the KK Integrated Logistics East Dock to load a cargo of pulp. Less than an hour after the Maineborg tied up, the Pere Marquette 41/Undaunted were loaded and ready to go. After passing through the Ogden Street (Menekaunee) Bridge and passing Menominee North Pier Lighthouse, the tug & barge headed north to "Death's Door" at the tip of Door County (peninsula). The trip will take the pair approximately 28 hours.
